Club Googong

A focus for the community

From the day our first residents arrive, Club Googong will provide recreation facilities and a place to meet your neighbours.

It will operate like a private club for residents and will include a heated indoor pool and an outdoor splash deck for smaller children. There will also be a small gym. Entry to the pool and gym will be via your resident's Club swipe card.

The Club building will also include a temporary general store with a range of daily necessities and a café with a sunny terrace with superb views over Beltana Park.  Because of Club Googong, you won't need to join a gym, pay to use a public swimming pool or travel into town for a good cup of coffee and a chat. Initially, the Googong Sales and Information Office will also be located in the Club building.

Club Googong will be conveniently located on Googong's entry street, next to the bus stop, cycleway and Beltana Park, and residents will also enjoy access to the park's tennis courts, children's playground, amphitheatre, barbeques, pathways, waterways and boardwalks - everything for all ages located in the centre of our first releases.

Club Googong's recreation facilities will be free to residents and their guests for five years after the Club opens, which we anticipate will be around June 2013. To be initially owned and operated by Googong Township Pty Ltd it will eventually be transferred to new owners.  Any change to the uses in the Club building may only occur if the use is permissible under the zoning of the area and, if required, receives the approval of Queanbeyan City Council.
