Your local shops
Most of the five neighbourhoods that make up the township of Googong will have a local shopping centre.
Googong North Village Centre opened in Googong’s first neighbourhood with an IGA supermarket, liquor store, Gorman & Co. pub, cafe, hair salon, beautician, Our Place Childcare, Domino’s Pizza, Club Lime gym, GP clinic, dentist, allied health services, discount pharmacy, vet and a Community Centre.
Googong’s major shopping and entertainment precinct, Googong Town Centre, will open around 2025/26. There will be two major shopping supermarkets as well as retail shops, cafes, restaurants, a pub and hotel, Community Centre, fire station, library, and more. It’s an exciting new direction for the township which will provide employment, schools, entertainment and major shopping opportunities to support the growing town.
Googong unveils $143 million town centre
Googong Central, our town’s second neighbourhood, will provide 1800 dwellings for 4,500 residents; as well as a Manuka-sized shopping precinct with two major supermarkets, a library, community centre, council shopfront, fire station and more. There will be a public secondary school, an indoor sports centre, Googong Sports Club, a second community garden, several more playing fields and tennis courts, and netball courts.
