NEXT IN LINE FOR GROWTH

Wednesday, 1 December, 2010

The December issue of Australian Property Investor identifies the greater Queanbeyan/Googong area as being on the cusp of a population boom, suggesting earlier purchasers at Googong could benefit from the associated demand for housing over the coming years:

New residents are increasingly attracted to Queanbeyan due to its close proximity to Canberra's public service and support industries. Already over the past 10 years Queanbeyan has witnessed an annual 2.35 per cent population growth rate. "This growth rate is expected to continue over the coming 25 years due to developments such as Googong," notes council.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) 2009 Population Estimates data, the Queanbeyan population is already 40,661 and projected to expand by up to 72 per cent, propelling the city's population to at least 65,400 in 2036.

The first sales release for Googong is tentatively scheduled for around May-June next year, and will be made to members of our database only. We value your early interest in this project and are designing the release program carefully to ensure that anyone who seeks to purchase at Googong will secure a lot. After eight years in the planning, we are truly excited to be moving to our first sales release in 2011. We look forward to sharing this program with you in the more detail, in the New Year.
