Your Life At Googong

A Bustling Local Economy

From general store to major retail

A café inside Club Googong is already open and providing day-to-day necessities for the township’s residents. These are incorporated within Club Googong, together with an indoor pool, outdoor kids’ splash deck, small gym, and our sales and information centre.

The first village shopping centre is planned to open early 2018, and there will eventually be local shopping available in each of the neighbourhoods. This will range in size from a few local shops to neighbourhood centres about the size of the Ainslie shops in the ACT.*

Over time the Googong town centre – known as Googong Central – will become the urban, retail and commercial focal point for the neighbourhoods. This town centre will be about the same size as Manuka, with a greater variety of shops, cafés, restaurants, community facilities and commercial premises. There will also be apartments and townhouses in the town centre, creating a truly vibrant place to visit and live.

Improved road access to Queanbeyan and to the Monaro Highway puts several of the region’s largest shopping precincts just an easy drive away.
