Because it’s a completely new, self-contained township we can start afresh at Googong, incorporating a range of sustainability initiatives right from the beginning. These initiatives are innovative and ambitious but also need to be practical, effective and affordable.

As plans for Googong have developed, we’ve looked at water use, energy efficiency, air quality and ecological factors like safeguarding endangered species. We have also focused on creating a sense of community and providing a healthy lifestyle for our residents.
