Introducing Googong

Your Town

It’s no exaggeration to say that Googong is a vision come to life. The team behind the project has included urban planners, water engineers, sustainability experts and transport planners, among others.

We’ve spent years consulting with the public. We’ve undertaken extensive environmental studies. We’ve established a close working relationship with Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure. Put simply, we had carefully considered and planned every aspect of the township before the first sod was even turned. And now, after much work, Googong has become a reality with several thousand people already calling Googong home.

Nestled in a picturesque site surrounded by the Molonglo Ranges and the Googong Dam Foreshores, Googong is just 25 minutes from the centre of Canberra. Our plan is that many of the 18,000 people who will eventually live here will also go to school, go to work and spend much of their recreation time within the town itself.

Of course, it won’t happen overnight. But we’re inviting you to join in the adventure of creating something new, of building a lifestyle that’s relaxed, socially rewarding and sustainable. We want you to feel that, no matter what stage of your life you’re at, Googong is a place where you belong, a place where you can grow along with the town.
